## What exactly do I get?

An engraved metal card with their name and the opening day, linked to a bitcoin address nobody can spend from until that day.

## Who can reach the money before the opening day?

Nobody. The lock is enforced by the Bitcoin network, so even the card and the password together won’t do it. We never have access.

## Can it be opened early?

No. We fix the opening day when you order, and after that it can’t be changed for any reason.

## What if the card or the password gets lost?

Without the password the bitcoin can’t be taken off, and we can’t recover it. Keep the card and the envelope apart, and tell someone where they are.

## How do I add money to it?

Through a MiCA-licensed provider, who sends the bitcoin straight to the card’s address. We’ll name the provider at launch.

## Is this an investment?

No, it’s a gift. Bitcoin’s price moves, so what’s on the card can be worth more or less over time.

## What happens if Giftvest shuts down?

The card still opens. We use a standard Bitcoin format that any wallet with time-lock support can handle, Liana for example.

## How much does it cost?

We’ll announce the final price at launch. Pre-ordering is free.
